Fodify — FODMAP Diet Companion · Last updated: October 12, 2026

BioAI LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Fodify mobile application (the “App”) and the website fodify.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

  • Account: Your email address and password or, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email address they share with us and, from Google, your profile photo. We use the name and photo to fill in your profile where it is empty.
  • Profile: What you enter during onboarding and in Settings, such as your name, date of birth, gender, IBS type, diet stage, goals, trigger foods, allergies and dietary restrictions, and an optional profile photo.
  • Health and food logs: The meals, symptoms, stool, stress, sleep, water, and exercise you log, your notes, your food tests and their results, and your progress and check-ins in the App’s programs.
  • Photos: The food and menu photos you scan or add to a meal.
  • Fodi: Your conversations with Fodi, the App’s AI guide, and any ratings you give its replies.
  • Other content: The foods you add, the items you save, and the reports and messages you send us.
  • Apple Health: The data you allow the App to read, if you connect it (Section 4).
  • Waitlist: Your email address, if you join the waitlist on fodify.app.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage information: Your device type, operating system, app version, time zone, IP address, identifiers for your installation, and how often you use features.
  • Crash and diagnostic reports: These can include your account ID and what you were doing in the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the App: food logging, FODMAP ratings, insights and reports, Fodi, photo and menu scanning, the reminders you allow, subscriptions, and feature limits.
  • To keep the App working and secure, fix problems, and improve it, including the accuracy of our food and restaurant information. Foods you add may be added to our food database, without your name or account, and shown to other users.
  • To contact you about your account and your requests and, if you joined the waitlist, about the App’s launch.

We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites, and we do not allow other companies to do so through the App or the website. We do not collect, use, or sell your personal information to train AI models.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as needed to run the App and the website:

  • Service providers that host our servers and database, store photos, process subscriptions, report crashes, handle our email, deliver app updates and media, and host our website.
  • AI providers that power Fodi, photo and menu scanning, typed meals, and food ratings. They receive what each feature needs: your photos, food names, and meal descriptions and, for Fodi, your messages and the details Fodi uses to answer, such as your first name, diet stage, trigger foods, allergies, recent meals and symptoms, and food test results. We ask them not to store this data or use it to train their models.
  • Apple and Google, when you sign in with them, subscribe through their app stores, or use their services, such as Apple Health and notifications. We never see your payment details.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged.

Our service providers and AI providers may use your information only to provide their services to us, and they must protect it at least as well as this policy does. Other services the App and the website connect to, such as for images and fonts, receive your IP address and device or browser details.

4. Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, the App reads your sleep, workouts, and steps, and saves your water, meal nutrition, gut symptoms, and mindful sessions to it. You choose which types to allow, and you can turn access off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings. Imported sleep and workouts are stored with your account; steps are not stored. Apple Health data is never sent to AI providers or used for advertising or marketing. What the App saved to Apple Health stays there if you delete your Fodify account.

5. Keeping and Deleting Your Data

  • We keep your information while your account is open, and a waitlist email until you ask us to remove it.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account. Deletion is scheduled for 7 days after your request, and you are signed out right away. Signing back in within the 7 days cancels the deletion. After the 7 days, we delete your account and the information stored with it. Photos are removed from storage on a best-effort basis.
  • Some things you delete or remove in the App, such as photos, may stay in our storage until your account is deleted.
  • We may keep information that does not identify you, such as foods added to our food database and text read from menus. Our service providers may keep what they received, such as crash reports, for their own retention periods.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. You can manage it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest on our servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Where Your Information Is Processed

Our database is in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information is transferred to those countries.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, get a copy of it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can also:

  • Export a report of your data in Settings → Export for dietitian.
  • Turn off some diagnostic reporting in Settings → Privacy & data.
  • Turn off Apple Health access and notifications in your iPhone’s Settings.

To make a request, email [email protected]. If we decline it, you can appeal by replying to our answer. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
